Evening

You will begin your amazing Himachal Trip in the evening by boarding the AC bus in Delhi that will take you to Shimla. 

Sit in your seat comfortably, enjoy this 9-10 hours of journey in the bus by looking at the night views, feeling the chill breeze, listening to music, or by simply relaxing.

Full Day

On the second day, you are going to visit the Kalpa. Wake up early, have your delicious breakfast and then you will hit the road, going from the beautiful villages of Sarahan and Rampur- Bushahr before entering the spectacular Kinnaur Valley.

You will journey towards the amazing Kalpa village, where you will get a view of the incredible Kinner Kailash peak, believed to be the abode of Shiva. As you reach the Kalpa, check into your stay location and rest for a while. Soon your dinner will be served, after enjoying the meal, go for a peaceful sleep.

Full Day

On the third day, rise and shine early, have your mouthwatering breakfast, and check out of the Kalpa to head to the Tabo. In your journey, you will stop at the beautiful stopping point at Nako for a delicious lunch. 

Continue your drive towards the Tabo and visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Tabo monastery, a Buddhist monastery considered to be 1000 years old. Then resume your journey to the stunning landscape of the Kaza, which will only take one to two hours to reach. As you arrive, check into your hotel and have a delicious dinner.

Full Day

On the fourth day, you are going to explore some of the famous attractions of the Spiti Valley. Rise and shine early, have your satisfying breakfast, and then head to the biggest monastery of the Spiti Valley, Key Monastery. On the way, your private vehicle will stop down the hill of the monastery, so that you can marvel at this  Tibetan monastery from a bit far and click some pictures. 

When you reach here, stroll through the monastery at your own pace or look at the training centres of Lamas. After that, you will drive up to the picturesque Kibber village. From there, you will enjoy a small trek that will take you to the Chicham bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge. After a full day of sightseeing in Kaza, conclude your day by coming back to your stay location, have your mouthwatering dinner, and go for a peaceful sleep.

Full Day

On the fifth day, you are going to visit three new destinations in Spiti Valley. Wake up early, have your delicious breakfast, and then set off to Komic village, the highest village in the world connected with a motorable road at a height of 4587 metres. Take a leisurely stroll or click some pictures in front of the village that is painted in red, black, yellow, and orange. 

Later, you will head to Hikkim, a small yet beautiful village of Spiti Valley, having the world’s highest post office. After that, you will uncover the stunning Langza village, where you will see the incredible Buddha statue that is 10,000 years old. This village is also known as the fossil village, so don’t forget to bring fossils from here. Conclude your day by coming back to the Kaza, have your mouthwatering dinner, and then go for a good night's sleep.

Full Day

On the sixth day, rise early and have your delicious breakfast and then head back to the Kalpa via the beautiful kinnaur valley. Click some pictures to capture the moment.

As you reach the Kalpa, do the check in formalities, have dinner and then prepare yourself  for a good night's sleep.

Full Day

On the seventh day, rise and shine early, have your delicious breakfast, and head to the beautiful Chitkul village, located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal. It will going to be a soothing journey of two to three hours to reach here. 

In the evening, you will arrive at Chitkul, the last village of India on the Indo-Tibetan route. Check into your hotel and spend the time at leisure, wandering the village and in the beautiful valley with flowers and greenery. End your day by coming back to your accommodation to have a mouthwatering dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day

On the last day, wake up early and have your fulfilling breakfast. Then you will drive back to Shimla. Then, in the evening, board your bus to Delhi carrying all the wonderful memories of Himachal with you.

Key Info

  • Climate and Clothing- Expect chilly mornings and cool evenings even in summer. Thus, pack warm layers, woolens for high-altitude regions, and sturdy walking shoes. Sunscreen and sunglasses are musts due to higher UV at elevation.
  • Connectivity- Towns like Manali, Shimla, and Dharamshala have decent mobile and Wi-Fi coverage. However, remote areas like Spiti, Tirthan, or Kinnaur may have weak or no signal, so embrace the digital detox.
  • Food and Water- Enjoy simple and hearty mountain fare, think momos, rajma-chawal, and thukpa. Drink only bottled or filtered water, and eat at trusted cafes or pre-recommended places.
  • Cultural Etiquette- Himachalis are warm and respectful. Greet with a smile and “Namaste.” Dress modestly in villages and religious sites, and always ask before photographing locals.
  • Health Precautions- Carry basic medicines, altitude sickness tablets for Spiti or Lahaul, and motion sickness pills for winding roads. Avoid overexertion on your first day in higher altitudes.
  • Local Laws- Alcohol is available, but avoid drinking in public or nature spots. Cannabis grows wild here, but its use is strictly illegal. Respect forest boundaries and local customs.
  • Eco-Responsibility- Protect Himachal’s fragile ecosystems, carry your trash back, avoid plastic, stick to marked trails, and say no to bonfires in forest areas.
